RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES
ANNAKSHETRA
As Sarsa is the gurugadi of the Gnan marg and is also on the main route to Dakor, Phagvel & Pavagadh, the famous teerths of the Sanatan Dharma in Gujarat , the pilgrims stop at Sarsa for darshan, rest & lodging - boarding. Kaivalgnan Mahateerth Annakshetra at Sarsa, a trust sponsored & run by H.H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri, provides these facilities to more than one lac pilgrims throughout the year and for that the trust spends around 30 to 40 lacs rupees per year.
DHARMASHALAS
The three Dhamashalas (guest-houses) - one, at Gurugadi Sarsa, second, at Bal-Kuver (the pragatyabhoomi of Paramguru Karunasagar Maharajshri), and the third, at Banaras-serve to all Hindu pilgrims free-of-charge or at consessional rates. Around 200 rooms are constructed at the cost of Rs. 3 crores by H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri in the last twenty years for this purpose. H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri intends to build one ashram at Haridwar also.
PILGRIMAGES
H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri organizes two religious tours - one in and one outside India - every year for the devotees. H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri accompanies the devotees during such pilgrimages and makes them realize the true spirit of religious places & persons. H. H. Maharajshri does the Kailas-Mansarovar Parikrama every year along with the devotees. His photographic travelogue on Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra reflects his deep sense of tour-organization.
GAU-SEVA
Sat Kaival Gaushala, founded by H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri & run by the Sat Kaival Gaushala Trust, at Sarsa is a breeding centre for Kankareji cows, a traditional & regional breed of Gujarat . The gaushala, spread over 3 acres of land & set up at a cost of nearly 40 lacs rupees, is one of the few gaushalas in Gujarat slected by the central Govt. of India, New Delhi for its National Bull Products Project. For the two hundred cows of the gaushala, H. H. Avichaldasji Maharajshri has allotted 25 acres of land for grass only, while two bore-wells provide the water for it. The gaushala has won many national & state level prizes too.
